Why our workout is different.

MegaCore offers the patented Lagree Method, centered around the megaformer, a spring-based resistance trainer that assists slow and controlled movements. It allows variability in intensity, creating a challenging workout that limits wear and tear on our joints. The key to the workout is in its pacing. Unlike many other workouts, the slower you do each of these exercises, the harder you will work and the more you can focus on form.

The Lagree Method is full body and integrates five key elements of fitness:

  • Cardiovascular endurance through continuous motion

  • Muscular strength through the use of resistance

  • Muscular endurance by eliminating down time between exercises and working to fatigue

  • Flexibility by working through a range of motion within each exercise

  • Improves body composition by promoting lean muscle growth and fat loss

In addition, the workout reinforces balance, as many of our exercises work each side of the body independently. The workout also promotes core strength through isolated and compound movements, as well as the mental health benefits attributed to exercise. It truly is an evolution in fitness delivered in MegaCore’s spacious and light-filled studio. With just seven megaformers, we are able to cater to each of our clients’ needs in every session. Sarah Wien

Sarah Wien is a dedicated Lagree instructor and the proud founder of MegaCore. Her Lagree journey began in 2016 when she was introduced to the method at Corelab Armonk, where she discovered its beauty and effectiveness. With a background in dance, Sarah felt an immediate connection to the workout and machine, finding a new sense of fulfillment and strength through Lagree.
Residing in Mount Kisco with her husband, two daughters, and three energetic puppies, Sarah understands the physical demands of life, dance, and motherhood. Over the years, Sarah's body has undergone changes, but Lagree has become her saving grace, providing her with the strength and resilience she needs.
Having tried various exercise programs post-pregnancy, Sarah found that traditional forms of exercise fell short of her expectations. Lagree, with its high-intensity, low-impact approach, allowed Sarah to engage in a full-body workout, even with modifications.
As an instructor, Sarah is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where "modify" is replaced with "support." She believes that there are no limitations in the Lagree method, only opportunities to adapt and customize the workout to meet individual needs. This philosophy sets Lagree apart, offering a truly special and unique fitness experience.
In 2022, Sarah earned her Lagree Instructor certification in Las Vegas and began teaching at Corelab. In December 2023, she took the bold step of purchasing Corelab and transforming it into MegaCore, a fitness studio that reflects her passion for Lagree and her commitment to helping others discover their strength and potential.

Alexis Silver

Alexis Silver has been teaching the Lagree fitness method since 2016, falling in love with the workout in 2013 for its effectiveness in toning the body. In 2020, she obtained certification in classical Pilates, expanding her expertise in fitness training. Alexis enjoys teaching both private and group classes, catering to pre and post-pregnancy clients with care and expertise. Known for her incredible energy and motivational spirit, Alexis always encourages her clients to do their best at their own pace. She promises to deliver challenging and effective routines that push you to achieve your fitness goals, no matter your current level of fitness. Nicole Byrne

Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Nicole grew up with a love for sports and the outdoors, playing basketball and skiing.  A big believer in cross training to prevent injury and maintain a higher level of overall fitness, Nicole admits to wanting to try every athletic challenge and is always eager to train.  It was during her eight years living in London, UK where she was introduced to Lagree fitness and became “mega” obsessed.  She knew that this muscle quivering, slow motion, high-intensity workout was not a passing fad, but it is the future of exercise.  She received her Lagree certification in 2014 and has been teaching ever since. Expect her classes to be filled with energy, encouragement and a positive approach that will help clients challenge themselves and inspire them to reach their full potential.

Rebecca Fisher

Rebecca Fisher, with a background in sports and advertising spanning 15 years, discovered the Megaformer during her third pregnancy in NYC after years of CrossFit training. The moment she experienced the Megaformer, Rebecca fell in love with its method that seamlessly complemented her passion for running and road races. She found that the Lagree method provided the strength and intensity she craved without the harsh impact on her body. Post-partum, Rebecca witnessed the incredible benefits of Lagree, particularly its focus on core and pelvic floor work. Convinced that Lagree is the most effective workout, Rebecca appreciates the consistent challenge it offers regardless of frequency. With a dedication to helping clients improve their form, establish a mind-body connection, and build strength, Rebecca is passionate about motivating others to work hard and achieve their fitness goals. Linda Brown

Linda Brown, a loving wife and a dedicated mother of two boys and their German Shepherd, resides in Rye. With a passion for fitness, Linda has been a personal trainer since 1997, helping individuals achieve their fitness goals and lead healthier lives. Since 2006, she has also excelled as a Barre instructor, bringing grace and precision to her classes. Linda's journey with the Lagree Method began six years ago when she became a certified Lagree instructor, guiding others through challenging workouts on the MegaformerTM. As a competitive cyclist and former runner, Linda values the strength and endurance benefits of the Lagree method, pushing her body to new levels of performance. She believes the Lagree Method is beneficial for all ages and fitness levels, offering a unique combination of muscle strength and endurance training.
